These are things I get to experience as a performer! I started Is Yo Biz Sho Biz because I wanted to help entertainers be the best they can be.
My friends told me I am the hardest working performer they know because I am always working as a performer. What they don't know is that I put in time daily to get those jobs. I also put an effort toward being the best. Not all people, especially entertainers think this way. Most entertainers have so much talent but don't like or don't know how to do the business part of it.
There are two things you may not know about Showbiz. One is, did you know that as an entertainer you can say "I own my own business", and that business is you? The second is if you don't realize that it is a business you may never become successful!
If you want to be a success you have to run your own business. As an entertainer you can have an LLC, be self-employed or be paid by an employer for a job as an entertainer. I created Is Yo Biz Sho Biz to help entertainers understand the business.
I have created online courses, books, tutorials and memberships for Insider Secrets into Showbiz Careers. I also give in person seminars and do personal coaching for the entertainment field. Aside from being successful for two decades as a performer, I graduated with honors with a Masters in Education. My two passions meld together here as I help entertainers get they skills they need to succeed. This includes learning skills that at a corporate level you'd be trained by your company for. It includes knowing what to do when and how. It relies on you being able to manage your money, managing your health and mental state and it includes knowing how to promote yourself.
